Why we do it…

When we started out we had no idea we would end up here.  Upon graduating from high school, I attended a large university with the intention of being an engineer.  When the university asked me to leave for not meeting their expectations, I changed my direction to a language based pursuit.  Since I was fair at writing, and didn’t mind deadlines, I moved into the Criminal Justice education stream earning an AA from our local JC.  To the army for some experience and 35 years later, retired and still mostly intact, my spouse informed me I would not be sitting around the house “doing nothing”.  

She had graduated high school with a technical skill and was well employed when we married.  Yes, we attended high school together.  After seeing our last child off she was ready to re-enter the work force as an entrepreneur.  Always a hard worker, she excels at everything she puts her mind to do.  One of those things was keeping me busy and out of trouble.  No small feat. 

So now, having changed course, I find I’m a fair technician and keep most of our machines running and, with a little help, maintain our art demands.  My wife (and boss) attempts to see that I get to work on time.  So, here we are…
